Q1. Why should I consider a live band for my wedding reception?
A great professional live band can transform a wedding reception into a show-stopping, dance-your-shoes-off, night-long celebration.
Did you know that the day after the wedding 99% of couples wished they had spent more of their budget on entertainment? Maybe it’s because the reception dance is usually about 4-5 hours, which is as long or longer than the entire ceremony, cocktail hour and meal combined! Q2. Where do you perform?
We perform at venues, marquees and backyards in beautiful cities and towns in Southern Ontario: Toronto, GTA, Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Erin, Orangeville, Muskoka, Peel Region: Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, York Region: Aurora, Newmarket, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Halton Region: Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Ancaster, Brantford, St. Catharines and Niagara Region.
We have also performed as far away as Jamaica, Seoul and Manitoulin Island. Let us know where you would like us to be, and we will be there!
Q3. Do you provide music for the ceremony or cocktail hour?
Yes we do! Please contact us to let us know what type of music you would like for your Ceremony and Cocktail Hour.
Q4. How do I know you’ll deliver on what you promise?

Q5. How do I know people are going to love dancing to the music you play?
We have a huge track record of happy couples and guests. Every song on our extensive song-list has a proven track-record of inducing dancing. We play slow songs as well as up-tempo dance numbers all the while maintaining the “flow” of the evening. Out goal is to get your guests of their seats, dancing!
Your wedding is unique, and we want to make sure it is different than any other wedding. We can learn a song or two for a first dance or father-daughter dance. We welcome your input into our set-list for the evening, and when you book your free consultation, we will share with you our extensive song-list of over 400 dance songs.
Q6. How do I know I’m getting a good value for my money?
We are professional in every sense of the word and we mean it. Live music is how we make our living. We strive to meet and exceed your expectations with how we run our business and most importantly, how we treat our clients. We want you to breath easy and feel comfortable with us. For this reason, we have 6 written guarantees, and we stand behind the guarantees 100%. This is not a commitment you will find with other wedding vendors.
Q7. How will the band be dressed?
You will get to choose the type of attire – Formal or Black Tie. Most often, our male performers will be in suit and tie and our female performers in formal wear. Let us know if you would prefer a different look for the occasion.
Q8. How can we trust the band to be professional and show up on time?
We are full-time professionals, and our reputation is very important to us. We are here for you. Making you happy is our full-time job. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards alcohol, drug use. Professional behaviour is of utmost importance to us.
We have never been late for a performance. We always triple check details and arrive early. Performing is exciting to us, and we are happy to share our live music and energy with your friends and family. We want everyone to have amazing memories!
Q9. How do you guarantee that the volume won’t be too loud? I know that’s a concern for my mom.
Most of us have been to an event where the music was just too loud. We want you to breath easy with our live band, we will NEVER ruin your party with excessive volume. Q10. What if we want to hear some songs or styles that your band doesn’t play?
That’s absolutely not a problem, on top of our extensive repertoire of live music we offer an official DCF Wedding Music DJ service (included in some of our packages and available as an add-on to all packages). Why settle for trying to decide between a band or a DJ when you can have the best of both worlds.
Q11. My Uncle Joe has been known to grab the mic and belt out “Don’t Stop Believin” at events. How can we make sure that doesn’t happen at my wedding?
We will not allow this unless you say it’s ok. Before your wedding, we will collaborate on a “Who Gets The Microphone?” PLAN so that no surprises happen. The only two people who can override the plan are the Bride and the Groom, and we have no problem being the “bad guy” who has to say “NO,” so you don’t have to 🙂
Q12. How do I know the wedding music isn’t going to be just like everyone else’s?
We do not believe in cookie cutter weddings. We make sure every wedding performance is as unique and special as the couple.
Your interest in having live entertainment at your wedding will set you apart from 80-99% of other weddings because so many couples choose a DJ for no other reason than “all my friends had a DJ.”
Yes, a good DJ is worth it. In fact, we provide official DCF Wedding DJ’s between sets as an add-on to all of our live wedding music packages. But nothing beats a real live band; a professional, great sounding, and a sharply dressed band that knows how to engage, entertain and create a party! Why not get the best of both worlds?
We customize our set-lists to your needs and tastes, therefore no wedding is ever the same even if 3 of your bridesmaids also hired our band for their wedding.
Q13. My wedding has a diverse cultural background, can you perform for my group?
We have performed at English, Irish, Egyptian, Jewish, Italian, Greek, American and Canadian weddings just to name a few. With that said our specialty is English-language songs for English speaking audiences that love to dance. If you would like to have a few traditional songs played live or DJ’ed, that would be our pleasure.
If however, you’d like an entire evening of primarily non-English language songs then we are not the band for you. However, please get in touch with us, and we can make some recommendations for you.
Q14. Are you insured?
Yes we are insured with a Comprehensive Commercial Liability Policy. This means you would be covered if someone decided to sue you because of something they perceived the entertainment might have been responsible for. Be sure to ask all potential vendors if they carry proper liability insurance.
Q15. Do you provide other services? For example MC, DJ, lighting, fog machine?
Yes we do! If you need something entertainment-related that we’re not currently offering, let us know at the time of booking, and we will figure out who is the best at that.
Q16. Help! My DJ or band just cancelled on us for this Saturday. Can you help?
Yes (read on)! Unfortunately, we hear from people in this situation too often: somebody recommended you “save” some money with your wedding entertainment. Now with less than a week to go you find yourself scrambling because someone double-booked you or they got arrested (true-life horror story).
We’re very busy and we do get booked far in advance, but we want to help in any way we can! Call us on the emergency line and hopefully we’ll be open for a short-notice booking. If we can’t help you personally we will help you find a professional substitute free of charge. We want to help make sure your wedding day doesn’t get ruined because of someone else.
I would definitely recommend David. His likeable and funny personality mixed with his professionalism and skills definitely help you have one less thing to worry about during the big day.
